it has been months since i have been able to use a computer which i can hook up my scanner to and now i have a mountain of nearly 25 rolls of film to scan in and work with. my MF is still not in working condition and 2 weeks ago my manual 35mm broke while on a photo adventure in the desert of southern california. i am slowly being forced to use the cameras i have some how over time collected and left unloved for years now. my body of work is now a mix of MF, 35mm, polaroids, and holga prints.. color as well as black and white. a mash of what i have wanted to work towards, but never attempted due to getting comfortable with one camera. i seem to have forgotten how my eyes hurt after hours of cleaning and color correcting in PS. ugh. i have set up a fliker account and soon enough that and Bird_flew will have quite the update. boy turned 27 monday and today we celebrated with a visit to quite the nice vegan restaurant that i hope to not visit again. the mashed potatoes were great, but for the price and service, id rather go to chicago diner, real food daily, california vegan, or the red and black.. all in different cites.. all places i have loved once and dearly miss. him and i have only seemed to get better with time and travel. i cannot wait until we make a home for ourselves in north carolina! [ i cannot wait for all the photo opportunities in the woods and near the river!] i have come across a handful of beautiful books recently and want to spend all of my monies on them.. and yet i hold back knowing that i need to wait.. get things in order. laptop. reliable camera. a plane ticket to portland to visit my dears. passport so i can extend my travels and return home. | | Friday, May 4th, 2007 | | 6:33 pm |

california treated us nice thus far -great food, many adventures, amazing shows and music, bookstores filled with rare goodies, new shoes made from recycled materials, a skirt from india, pictures for months, and monutains and hills to climb. after eating so much mock fish while out at these lovely restaurants that are fully vegan, i am attempting to mock the mock myself. heres to squeezing frozen tofu blocks. within one years time span at most, boy and i will open up a vegan restaurant/cafe/hang out spot. we are on a hunt for a good location and then we begin. school is on hold until we have things up and running this new job is treating me well... though it would be nice to work for myself instead of a company. [though ive many great perks with this one, id rather travel more than they allow with this new position] my MF camera can be fixed... father took it upon himself since the repair man wanted a couple hundred. all i need is one part... a hunt for that begins when i can hook up my digital to a computer to upload a picture of the part. my 35mm broke. gh! what luck... on to the collection of others. at least im getting use of what i once wanted bad enough to spend money on. art and mail will begin once more, soon. this new life that weve built up.. is pleasent. getting rid of the old.. exploration of the new. | | Saturday, April 14th, 2007 | | 9:16 pm |

how i want to post pictures and yet ive no way to hook the camera / scanner up ! today was moms birthday and we had a mother daughter day together along with boy . i ran all about town doing day off things and sending smiles to strangers i might not see again. i realized once more how i do not belong in this city. state. im excited about my new cup for tea. brown with beautiful cherry blossoms that came to me all the way from china from the hands of someone with buckets of talent. i sent away snailmail again and got two pretty shirts. one for tuesday and another for whenever. nightnight tea and sleep. meeting at 6 ,before the birds are singing. afterwards, picnic with bikeriding and trail climbing. i left my camera with the doctor ,i hope my baby comes home soon. | | Monday, March 26th, 2007 | | 1:43 pm |
my computer died and i lost everything. the thing im most sad to lose are the only touched up copies of all of my photographs which ive worked on for the past few years. i can always rescan them and start from scratch, but that takes forever. my camera also broke recently. id hate to have to resort to my 35mm so ive been messing aorund with pinholes and the holga more often. my living quarters are finished. higher and bigger bookshelves, light colored walls, bamboo flooring! and lots of space. work has been nice. after only two months in my current location ive been asked to help train the newbies. im going for an open position and hopefully can get promoted this upcoming month. | | Saturday, March 17th, 2007 | | 10:57 pm |
boyfriend and i went on a two night/day trip up the east coast and down the west coast. along the way we went to epcot, dannys, sheenas, the dali museum, two different whole foods [winterpark / sarasota] and all around for burritos. our california trip is coming up soon.. more trips we have in mind for the near future are: new york, chicago, alaska, europe [eventually with the gain of passports, and maybe US citizenship for myself]. new photos will be up soon, ive been shooting a lot as of late. | | Friday, March 9th, 2007 | | 4:52 pm |

-after a great night together, boy and i spent amazing moments together. -my updated id came in the mail from the dmv [great, seeing as mine expired almost a year ago] -i got snailmail from portland with lovely little gifts inside from megan and the birds :) -i made vegan potato salad for him and i -i went to my first visit with the last doctor that will be involved in my work related accident -adam and i ran errands on bike today all over town and then road around in the park for a while -we made dinner together. vegan crepes with fresh fruit as well as pasta in cute shapes with green goodies topping it -though dessert was better. -and i still adore waking up next to him | | Wednesday, February 14th, 2007 | | 1:36 pm |
